Scan hangs at 63.56%
  • GTKGTK November 2011

I installed a new 1TB drive in my macbook pro and tried to consolidate aperture libraries from 2 external drives. After consolidating all projects into one library on the new drive, I stupidly deleted the original libraries from the 2 external drives before waiting for my time capsule to back up the newly consolidated library. It seems that the battery indicator in my macbook pro is not as accurate with a second hard drive installed in the optical bay. So instead of peacefully going to sleep when the indicator said I was at 1%, I got a hard power off when the battery gauge said I had almost 10% left (it actually happened as I was getting the adapter to plug it back in). When I restarted and reloaded aperture... :/ the new consolidated library was corrupted. So I started looking for software to restore the recently deleted aperture libraries from my external drives. When I try to scan one of the drives (both for quick or deep scans), it gets to 63.56% in less than 30 seconds, and then just hangs there. The drive is currently empty of files. How long should I wait to see if the scan will continue before giving up?

Are there any files found already when hanging occurs? Can you send Disk Drill's logs to us as described here: http://help.cleverfiles.com/troubleshooting-basics/ ?
