P2 Card Image Recovery
  • lawrenceingramlawrenceingram November 2011

Hi all, I've stored files from a P2 card onto a HD, and they were deleted. Is it possible to recover P2 video files using Disk Drill?

    Thanks,

    Lawrence

I don't think P2 is a file format, it's the name of an SSD memory card. The file format used by this card is MXF. This file signature is supported by Deep Scan (check the features page: http://www.cleverfiles.com/mac-data-recovery.html) and surely, if the files are not gone for long, you can use Quick Scan to make an attempt to recover these files. Deep Scan should also be able to help. But, keep in mind the following: http://help.cleverfiles.com/can-i-recover-a-specific-file-with-disk-drill/

    Hi there!

I just paid for Disk Drill Pro licence and managed to retrieve some mxf files. But I can't read them on any of the video player/ editing software.

Did I do something wrong? Is there a way to help make this readable? Please advice.
    Thanks!

@shirzch, is this a separate topic or anyhow related to P2? Anyway, which scanning method did you use? Are ALL recovered items corrupt or just several of them? Do you have any live samples you can share for investigation? And finally: http://help.cleverfiles.com/recovered-items-corrupted/
