Time to scan 1TB WD drive

    Can someone tell me how long it would take to do a deep scan on a 1TB WD hard drive. Trying to recover photos & video files. It does a deep scan in 20 mins and then scans again? Should this happen and how long would this normally take?

    I think it just builds a free space map during the initial 20 minutes. Then it starts the scan. The speed depends very much on physical state of your drive. The scan will take longer if there are bad blocks/sectors on the disk.
